In college, Tim started to yearn to make a difference. He was pro-life but unsure of how to actually make a change. Then he found the Protect Life club on campus. Tim started attending more and more meetings. He attended outreaches at MSU and in downtown Lansing. He was even trained to lead the outreaches himself!
"There are few who truly understand the reality of abortion, fewer that are willing to share their view, and fewer still that would be willing to sacrifice much time for the cause."
"We need as many people as we can get, so that’s why I’m here."
After 3 years in MSU's group, he's an outreach aficionado and apologetics nerd. Now as an almost-graduate of his Ph.D. program, he's joining the leadership team for his local Young Professionals for Life chapter. Tim has changed numerous minds while leading outreaches, encouraged new students to stand up and defend the unborn, and is continuing to stay involved even after graduation.
Beyond being a shining example of a sacrificial defender, Tim shows us that with training and encouragement, pro-life students can make a huge impact.

When Mary connected with Project Rosie, she had just found out she was pregnant and wasn't sure what to do. Many of the people around her were pressuring her to have an abortion...she even feared she may be forced to have one.
After an ultrasound, receiving pregnancy counseling, getting encouragement and prayers from us, she found the courage and support she needed to choose life!
In February, Baby C (top left) was born. Thanks to some generous Protect Life Michigan supporters & an online registry, he had everything he needed to come home, from diapers and a crib to an entire community excited for his arrival (bottom left).
She told us later, "Thank you so much for the help. I really appreciate the people out there who help single moms like me. It means a lot to me."

This summer 10 students share an exciting title: Protect Life Michigan's first-ever summer interns! Their program is a blend of classroom learning, outreach training, and pro-life projects.
Students will leave this internship as equipped pro-life activists. They will also be ready for working full-time in the pro-life movement!

Unlike secular campuses, with the majority of the student body holding pro-choice views, pro-life ministry at Christian schools can be a bit different. Rather than winning over their hearts for the unborn, Christian students need their hearts broken and equipped, so they can put their beliefs into action.
This fall, a new initiative is launching to meet this need: the Klusendorf Fellowship. Named after pro-life apologist, Scott Klusendorf, this exclusive fellowship will transform students into influential powerhouses.
Fellows will be studying advanced apologetics, completing pro-life projects, and eventually mentoring younger students. They'll have the opportunity for extended internships and scholarships for other worldview and pro-life conferences. Most importantly, students will have the courage to stand up to help make abortion unthinkable.

"The encouragement and wisdom of the staff were instrumental to our group's development.
They transformed the way our club functioned for the better and much of my personal understanding and passion for the pro-life cause is a direct result of Protect Life Michigan."
